The Noida International Airport at Jewar — set to rank among Asia’s largest — has begun commercial flight operations in 2026, following the inauguration of Phase 1 earlier in the year. The long-awaited launch is among the most consequential infrastructure events for the Delhi-NCR property market in a generation.

A decade in the making

Conceived to relieve pressure on Delhi’s IGI Airport and anchor a new growth pole in western Uttar Pradesh, the Jewar project has moved from land acquisition to operations over several years. Phase 1 establishes the first runway and terminal, with further phases planned to scale capacity substantially over the coming years.

What changes for the southern NCR

Airports reshape land economics around them, and Jewar is already doing so. Residential sectors within a short drive of the airport stand to benefit most.
